Had the gamjatang for takeout on the recommendation of a friend. Wowow! What an incredible deal! You get a generous portion of neck bone (highly prized for its tenderness and fat, seriously) in a perfectly spicy broth. Perhaps a little rich to finish it all, but I prefer a smaller, more intense experience. In addition to the main dish, a side of rice and four small containers of seaweed, bean sprouts, kimchi, and something else were provided. Each again had a very potent flavor. For instance, the sprouts were a bit acidic which paired very well with the rich broth. Now beyond the food, it is clear the restaurant cares deeply for its customers. The staff has all been vaccinated and were friendly, all containers were meticulously wiped down so that there was absolutely no leaking or mess, above average chopsticks and spoons were supplied. What a gem! Overall, Kimbaek is an absolute must try again!

I was craving for Gamjatang so I went to Kimbaek for lunch. Service was really quick. Food is so delicious! Gamjatang was served hot and spicy, with a bowl of rice and 4 sides. Will definitely come back here and try other items on menu.

This was our first time trying Korean BBQ, We tried the beef, chicken, and pork belly & squid bulgogi! All the sides came in cute little containers with a nice big serving of plain rice on the side as well, would definitely recommend! Mine was under 20

One of the BEST authentic Korean restaurants here in winnipeg!! Honestly our go to every time we crave korean food. We appreciate it how they give out good food portions with appropriate pricing too despite the inflation. Got about 4 different dishes for just me and my boyfriend and it was only like 60-70! We miss the days where the portions for the side dishes (kimchi, bean sprouts, seaweed, potatoes or radish) used to be on a small plate but now they serve it in tiny individual containers. Nonetheless, it’s still a yummy side dish anyone can enjoy! Highly recommend coming here to enjoy some amazing korean cuisine me and my boyfriend will definitely keep on coming back

The three of us had an amazing meal! We originally ordered three bowls of Korean black bean noodles, a serving of stir-fried rice cakes, and a spicy beef soup, but everything was so delicious that we couldn’t resist adding a stone pot bibimbap. We left completely satisfied! The owner, a lovely Korean lady, was incredibly warm, and the Taiwanese waitress was also super friendly. Highly recommend this place! (It was so good that I completely forgot to take photos!)

Fave place to get korean food in Winnipeg! My go to order is always the Army Stew (extra spicy), seafood pancake, jajangmyeon, and Gamjatang! Never disappoints. Can get busy during peak hours as there aren't a lot of tables, but the wait is worth it!

I enjoyed my meal at Kimbaek. I didn't know what to expect from Winnipeg Korean Food, but I was impressed. I was hoping they would have Cold Noodle, but they didn't. But I was very happy and enjoyed the Bimimbap
